Canine Valley Fever Project
Four Legged Friends Animal Hospital is proud to be one of the Veterinary Hospitals chosen to be part of the Canine Valley Fever Project.
This multifaceted, important project is working towards identifying the number of healthy dogs exposed to the coccidioidomycosis fungus as well as those that become sick. It also endeavors to correlate titers to symptoms, drug treatments, and lifestyle. Their ultimate goal is to develop a registry and tools to better serve the veterinary community. The highest concentration of VF cases in the world are in Maricopa, Pinal, and Pima counties. If you are the caretaker of a dog—be it your personal, rescue, or foster dog—you are welcome to sign up for this project. Please go to Canine Valley Fever Project for more information and how to register.
